Tuthill Mangano Toys for Tots Box Filled to Max
Riverhead and Surrounding Communities Generosity Shine Through
(Riverhead, NY) Thanks to the success of the 2024 Tuthill Mangano Funeral Home Toys for Tots Drive some local families will have a little less stress this holiday season. The funeral home once again partnered with the United States Marine Corp. in hopes of making the holidays a little easier for Long Island families in need.
“The holidays should be a time of joy, not worry and stress,” says Tuthill-Mangano owner Sal Mangano. “We are glad to support families in our local community however we can, and it is heartwarming to see that so many residents obviously feel the same way.” “We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.”
The United States Marine Corps created the Toys for Tots program in 1947. Since then, the program has distributed over 566 million toys. In 2023 alone, in cooperation with local businesses like Tuthill Mangano Family Funeral Home, the program made Christmas merrier for 9.9 million children. The mission of Toys for Tots is simply to bring joy to children in need by providing new toys at Christmas and sending a message of hope.
