Shirley E. Coverdale is the President and CEO of the Family Community Life Center (FCLC) in Riverhead, where she is responsible for implementation and oversight of all the agency’s key strategic and program partnerships. She serves as Chair of the Suffolk County Community College Board of Trustees, and is on the board of directors of the Long Island Housing Partnership.
Rev. Charles A. Coverdale, MBA is the Chairman of the Family Community Life Center and is Senior Pastor Emeritus of the First Baptist Church of Riverhead after retiring at the end of 2025 after serving as senior pastor of the church for 43 years. Reverend Coverdale also serves as a chaplain for the Suffolk County Department of Corrections, and has considerable experience as a college professor, consultant, sought-after seminar leader and speaker.
