The Mangano Family Foundation is encouraging everyone to attend the North Fork Brewing Company’s fundraiser this Saturday, February 1st, from 1-5pm, at the Brewery located in the old firehouse at 24 East Second Street in Riverhead, NY, benefiting former Crescent Duck Farm employees facing an uncertain future after the farm ceased operations due to an outbreak of avian flu.
The abrupt closure resulted in the lay-off of two thirds of the farm’s long-time employees and necessitated the euthanizing of their entire flock of approximately 99,000 ducks.
